| Ok, here is my three month update yet again. Haha. Anyway, the last few months have been racked with work and school and not much else. I did do one show at the Spanish Cove retirement home in Yukon, and I will never do another one again, even though I was offered... haha. That lady is insane and has no idea what she is doing. Anyway, I will be running the lights for A Midsummer Nights Dream, a show that the Parents for the Arts production class is putting on in May, and then running sound for Bye Bye Birdie this summer, a show for which I have also been asked to play guitar on for one song, which should be interesting to say the least with having to dive out of the booth onto the stage to play and then somehow teleport back to the booth, but that will be fun. I will also be working at St. Lukes this summer. I only have two and a half weeks of school left, which is bueno. School is good, but I am ready for it to be over. Anyway, I guess that is all. Later. | | |
| So, I thought maybe since my last update was like almost three months ago, I would update. I have noticed that xanga is dead or dying, but I thank Jake Tatarian for bringing it back to me with his college logo game. Haha. Anyway, so, since I last updated I did Prodigal Heart at Stage Door and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever at Poteet. They were fun and I had good times. Christmas was good, didnt get much more than money, but that is what you have to expect when you are a college student. Birthday was kind of ruined by lots and lots of ice, but I still had good times the week after at the Schinske's house. I am now working in two places, at St. Luke's and at my dad's office. School is good, not too stressful yet. I am running spotlight for Nunsense at Poteet and it is one hilarious show. That should be fun. That is all. Later. | | |
| Ok, so I have not updated in forever, so I figure that I will update. Prodigal Heart is going pretty well. I am excited for this show, it is going to be really good. I love it how as soon as I move to a place that is really close to St. Lukes I start going to a theatre that is really far away from where I live now... nice. Anyway, if anyone wants to come see that show, and you all should come see it, let me know and I will reserve your tickets for you. Class is going well I suppose. Nothing special going on there. I am ready for them to be over, but they arent bad. I just want to get into my major classes. Oh and on that subject, my major will soon be changing to accounting. Exciting huh? I know, you are all thinking "who would want to do that?" Well, the answer is "me" so there. Haha. I have seen several shows and movies lately. Man of the Year was really good, I recommend. It was not a comedy like I thought it would be, but it was funny. The Prestige was ok, but not great. Kinda strange. Dark of the Moon at Jewel Box was "interesting" but it was good. Sweeny Todd was really good, I wish that I had time to see it again, but I have rehearsal and then the hayride. I am excited for that. Anyway, that is all, later. | | |
| So, I have finally figured out what it is that I am doing for the next month or so as far as shows are going. I was hoping, after not being cast in Into the Woods, that I would be helping on crew for that show or something, but thanks to Chris Harris and David Palmer, I found out about auditions for a show at the Stage Door in Yukon called The Prodigal Heart. The auditions for that show were this past weekend, when I was in Lawton with Magi, which was really good, by the way. So, I called the director and asked if I could come in another time, so I went in Monday. Well, it ended up that they changed the script around a lot (it is an original, so they are allowed to do that kind of thing) and instead of casting three women and one man, they cast three men and one woman. So, I am now cast in myc first non-musical ever, which is really strange, let me tell you. I also realized that I haven't had to memorize lines since I did Wizard of Oz last like Novemeber. So, this will be interesting. Anyway, it runs November 3-12 at Stage Door. It was supposed to run through the 19th, but no. Haha. Anyway, come see it, it is a really good show. Later | | |
| Ok, update. The last time I updated was a long time ago, so I dont really remember much that has happened. Well, I went to see Seussical at Stage Door last Saturday, and it was good. David Palmer is so funny. Haha. And Chelsea was a great Mayzie, and she got to caw a lot. Then, I got asked to run tech for God's Favorite in the middle of the run... wow. Haha. So, I went on Sunday afternoon, and it turns out that the girl that they were going to get rid of, actually was going to do the show after all, so I was there for nothing. Haha. So, I decided not to do that for the second weekend. Into the Woods auditions were Monday and Tuesday, and they went well. I sang This is the Moment and I sang it better than I ever have, so that was good. Still waiting on a call for that one, a call which will more than likely never come, but I can still hope right? Ok, so, Wednesday, Alex Hall calls me and says that they really are getting rid of the tech girl from God's favorite and they want me to come run it after all. So, that is what I am doing this weekend. Wow. So, anyway, that is the update for now. Later. | | |
